This Picture Jasper necklace is a part of my "Estate collection" which means that this stones was part of the collection of my friends Great Great Grandfather who was a lapidary over 100 years ago. Yes we consider petrified wood to be a stone despite its organic origins. He didn't keep good records so we don't know exactly when these were cut but I consider them to be antique stones simply due to the fact that they were cut so long ago!
This stone is a rather large statement piece but I think the neutral tones give it a bit more wearability despite that. The bail is entirely beaded, and the chain is braided ribbon so the only metal on the piece is in the clasp on the back which makes this a friendly piece for those with sensitive skin.
