Petrified Wood Estate Necklace

This petrified wood necklace is a part of my "Estate collection" which means that this stones was part of the collection of my friends Great Great Grandfather who was a lapidary over 100 years ago. Yes we consider petrified wood to be a stone despite its organic origins. He didn't keep good records so we don't know exactly when these were cut but I consider them to be antique stones simply due to the fact that they were cut so long ago! 

This stone is bezeled with miyuki delicas and set on a leather chain that is friendly for those sensitive to metals!
